About Colon Cleansing Report’s Author

about meHello there, and welcome to my site!  My name is Peter Wood and I hail out of the great state of Maryland.  I do hope you find the information on Colon Cleansing Report valuable.  I pour quite a bit of time into this site (you’ll find out a why in a moment) and am glad you stopped by.

If you ever want to chat, simply drop me a line at peter.wood09@gmail.com and I’ll try to respond as quickly as possible.

I’m a software developer by trade, and thankfully my job now gives me enough free time that I pursue a few other hobbies.  My real passion has less to do with coding and a lot more to do with health and nutrition.

My Story: An “A Ha” Moment for My Health

The software industry isn’t conducive to healthy eating.  While I was working the typical 9-5 type of job it wasn’t too bad, but as I received more responsibilities, the hours grew as well and I found myself with less time to exercise and even less time to eat healthy.  Software developers subsist on snack foods and caffeinated soda, and that’s exactly what I was doing!

This went on for years.  I finally had my “A Ha” moment while I was getting ready for work one morning.  I bent over to tie my shoes and realized that I couldn’t breathe very well.  My gut was pushing into my lungs enough it was pretty darn uncomfortable!  Granted, that gut didn’t appear overnight — it had been a work in progress over several years of neglecting my body.

Researching Various Weight Loss Options

I realized that my diet would need to change, and I also realized that I would need to begin exercising regularly (and no, mowing your grass once a week is not “cardio” the way I thought it was!).  I began looking at my health with a basic two-pronged approach:

  • Eating - I read, and read, and read so many different dieting books.  None of them really struck a chord with me.  There were bits and pieces I liked about The Zone, and The Atkin’s Diet, South Beach Diet, and even the long lost Fit or Fat.  But they all seemed a bit extreme in their approach, and not something I could do sustainably.  I ended up giving myself a fixed number of fruits and vegetable servings to eat each day and I cut out soda completely.
  • Exercise - I’ve never been one to really get excited about exercising on some sort of routine.  I’ve always liked exercising for a purpose.  That, of course, led to me not having much purpose when I was working 70 hours per week, so exercise slid.  I finally ended up making sure I take a walk during my lunch break for forty minutes, and I yoga in the early mornings.  The yoga has helped me cope with my daily stresses and has improved my fitness level dramatically.

When I first began really focusing on my eating and exercise, I ended up fairly discouraged.  The results weren’t coming as quickly as I had hoped and I still just didn’t feel like I had the energy I’d had when I was younger (even just five years younger!).  I finally came across colon cleansing and that really struck a chord with me.  The idea seemed sound, and it did seem like I had stubborn fat around my midsection that just wouldn’t go away!

However, I was Disenchanted

Once I began researching colon cleansing I became fairly disenchanted.  There seemed to be so many scams out there!  It seems to be multi-faceted:

  • You have the doctors that don’t believe there’s any need for colon cleansing at all.
  • You have the doctors that believe there is a need for colon cleansing, but not with any type of product.
  • You have the colon cleansing companies that want you to believe you’ll die if you don’t cleanse your colon, and
  • You have the quacks out there that will say and claim just about anything.

Being a software engineer very comfortable with researching on the internet, I immediately headed to my trusty search engines and the like to get the real skinny.  Did I find any resolution?  None whatsoever.  As a result of that, along with interacting with many people throughout different forums, I ended up starting the Colon Cleanse Report.  This has become somewhat of an obsessive hobby of mine and I’m fueled by great comments I get from visitors like yourselves that have read my research and saved themselves a bundle of money in the process.

Good luck to you in all your weight loss endeavors!

I think that if people just shopped for less processed foods we would all feel healthier. Thanks to colon cleansing, much damage can be repaired.

Processed foods put excessive stress on our body. Things like colon cleansing are so important, and everyone should realize that our bodies need our respect.

A detox diet is not for everyone, but the results are worth the effort.
