Today I’m going to take a good look at Colon Cleanse Pro.
Colon Cleanse Pro is a very popular colon cleansing product, with quite a bit of marketing behind it, and a nice little following on the internet. My purpose in writing this review is to investigate Colon Cleanse Pro, both as a product and as a company.
The main site is www.colon-cleansepro.com. They push a FREE 30-Day Supply and offer a no-risk moneyback guarantee. We’ll go into the details of all of this later.
They’re quick to show you a magazine of Oprah, and then quite something very general about fiber washing out all the junk in your colon…there’s no mention of Colon Cleanse Pro specifically.
They then show a logo of USA Today, with an accompanying quote talking about how cancer screening can save lives. Again — there’s no mention of Colon Cleanse Pro. The article is in reference to colonoscopies.
Third, they show an MSNBC logo, then cite a statistic of 60,000 people dying from colon cancer every year. The implication is that Colon Cleanse Pro can somehow mitigate, prevent, or lessen that, though that claim is not made.
Finally, they cite CBS News, with their accompanying logo and another blurb about colon cancer. They even have quite a disturbing headline: “Will You Die from Colon Cancer?”
Bear in mind here what they say at the top:
Colon Cleanse is the Talk of the Media
Note very carefully how they don’t say Colon Cleanse Pro is the talk of the media. It isn’t. They’re attempting to make you think it is.
Their final fake endorsement comes from a picture of Britney Spears…and how she’s doing colon hydrotherapy — something entirely different from Colon Cleanse Pro.
It’s understandable that when you market, you’d like to create as much credibility as possible, but with tricks like these, it makes me wonder if Colon Cleanse Pro has any credibility whatsoever. These types of tactics aren’t even gray — they’re misleadingly black.
To be quite frank, I couldn’t find out anywhere. They have a one page site that gives very little information whatsoever. Your guess is as good as mine. I’d guess that there’s some fiber in there…?
This type of thing is disturbing. Granted, it’s a free trial (we’ll get to that later), but still you should like to know what you’re putting inside your body!
The company behind Colon Cleanse Pro is Life Fit Labs LLC, based out of California. This is according to their privacy policy. I don’t usually read companies’ privacy policies, but thought I would, since I didn’t like what I had seen so far. This bit was disturbing:
When you register on our Site, you hereby agree and acknowledge that your personal information will be placed into the LFL database and that such Personal Information shall be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Also, if they weren’t blunt enough here, they also say this:
We may sell, rent, lease or otherwise provide the personal information that you supply to us, to any third party…
Mental note…don’t give Life Fit Labs LLC one iota of your information.
Reports from our trusty Better Business Bureau list a few addresses:
807 Airport Access, Unit D
Traverse City, MI 49686
and
2664 Timber Dr Ste 301
Garner, NC 27529-2571
Strange, since the privacy policy mentioned California specifically. If I follow the report for the Michigan-based BBB, they refer me to the BBB based in North Carolina. THAT report is quite telling:

Also from the BBB:
Based on BBB files, this company has a pattern
BBB Definition:
pattern - More than 2 complaints involving the same allegations usually within 12 months that are significant in relation to the company’s size and volume of business.of complaints concerning refunds, exchanges and the lack of response to customer issues. On 9/5/2008 the company was invited to meet with the BBB to discuss ways to correct the underlying cause of the complaints. The company has failed to respond to our request.
Their tactics remind me very much of Total Cleanse, another very scammy colon cleansing company.
Colon Cleanse Pro’s “Free Trial” — Look Out!
This basically corroborates what I’m seeing on ripoffreport.com and complaintsboard.com (now bear in mind that a lot of times, reports on there are ficititiously generated by competitor companies…). When you go through the order process with Colon Cleanse Pro you’re presented with the basic stuff. And then you get to some terms and conditions that you need to accept before ordering…
I went ahead and read the T&C for you. You notice how their box is really, really small? That makes it harder to scroll and read. My guess is they really don’t want you to read this. There were some interesting tidbits:
By registering on the Site, filling out the applicable CCP Products application forms and receiving approval from LFL, you can, for a fee, obtain, or attempt to obtain, a monthly supply of the CCP Products delivered monthly to the address provided during registration.
Bingo. We’re staring at an autoship program that is putting itself out there as a free trial.
Upon registering, providing the requisite Registration Data, and receiving approval from LFL, LFL will ship your first installment of the CCP Products. On the date that your first installment of CCP Products is shipped, your initial fifteen (15) day trial offer (Trial Membership) shall begin, and the credit card or debit card that you provided during registration or updated at a later date (Active Credit Card) will be charged either: (a) Four Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($4.95) for standard shipping and handling; (b) Nine Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($9.95) for expedited shipping and handling (where requested by you); or (c) Nineteen Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($19.95) for shipping and handling to addresses located outside of the United States. Immediately upon the expiration of your fifteen (15) day Trial Membership period, unless you cancel your CCP Products Account as set forth in Section 6 hereinbelow, LFL will charge your Active Credit Card Sixty-Nine Dollars and Ninety-Eight Cents ($69.9
for the first installment of CCP Products that you already received and, thereafter on a monthly basis, either: (i) Sixty-Nine Dollars and Ninety-Eight Cents ($69.98), plus Four Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($4.95) shipping and handling for a total of Seventy-Four Dollars and Ninety-Three Cents ($74.93) for the monthly delivery of CCP Products to addresses located inside of the United States;
I know that parts kind of long, so I highlighted the important parts. So what’s the takeaway here? Colon Cleanse Pro gives you the “free trial” but if you don’t cancel within 15 days, they’ll charge you the entire amount and say it’s your first installment of your monthly membership. 30 days later, they’ll send you more Colon Cleanse Pro and charge you again.
According to Section 6 of their Terms and Conditions:
To cancel your CCP Products Account at any time, you must contact LFL customer service at 1-888-610-3872.
I gave them a call to see how friendly they were. Listen here:
They never answered.
Another really horrible thing that Colon Cleanse Pro is doing:
Upon receipt of any Qualified Return, we will refund the Monthly Fees associated with all unopened units of the CCP Products, less shipping and handling costs and a fifteen percent (15%) restocking fee.
Ha! So if you aren’t happy with the product, they’ll charge you a 15% restocking fee. Nice. It’s no wonder they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.
This basically rounds my look at Colon Cleanse Pro. They aren’t looking to have satisfied customers. They’re looking to find another sucker and take advantage of them. They know people won’t read the entire terms and conditions, and even if they exercsise their refund right, they’ll get their restocking fee. Colon Cleanse Pro is a scam. I’ll leave it up to them to clean up their act and prove otherwise.
Hello, new to the site. Just wanted to say thanks for such great tips!
I believe I have waited long enough to start eating healthy and exercising. Seems like I have lots to learn.
As a colon cleansing user and supporter, I would like to share how healthy I feel. I look forward to learning more.

When I decided to try colon cleansing, I could have used many of these articles as a reference, glad I found them now.
