Colon Pro Cleanse

Today’s colon cleanse review will be on Colon Pro Cleanse (not to be confused with Colon Cleanse Pro…or should it?  I’ll get to that in a minute).

From what I can gather, it appears to be a pretty new product as there isn’t much information out there about it yet.  My guess is that they are just launching it.  So what does Colon Pro Cleanse have to offer?  Let’s dig in.

Something Seems….Familiar

When I looked up Colon Pro Cleanse, the site seemed extremely familiar.  And it didn’t take long to find out why.  Beeing intrigued by the similarity of the name of Colon Pro Cleanse and Colon Cleanse Pro, I quickly looked up my review and the website of Colon Cleanse Pro.  And Bingo!

You tell me, do they look familiar?

compare-sites

Wow…I’m not sure they could get much closer to being the same exact website.

It’s pretty clear that we’re dealing with the same company that produces Colon Cleanse Pro.  For that matter, you can visit the Colon Cleanse Pro review to see the details that I may have left out in this review.

They’ve changed the stomach model, the pill bottle and that’s about it.  They weren’t even creative enough to change the name of the product more than simply moving the ‘Pro’ around.

Because I found the similarities of the two sites interesting and almost laughable, I’ll detail a couple of other sections of the site:

endorse-compare

Aside from the fact that they obviously didn’t change much of anything here, I want to point out that although the Oprah and media stations are shown here, they in no way have endorsed this product.  Sure, they may have talked about colon cleansing or colon disease in general, but they have mentioned nothing about Colon Pro Cleanse specifically.  This is a classic tactic to add some kind of credibility.  At first glance, it does.  But if you look at it closely, I hope you see it for what it really is: misleading.

Here’s their testimonial section:

testiminial-compare

They’ve been smart enough to change the faces and testimonials here. But the reason I show this is to note that testimonials such as these take about 3 mintues to fabricate.  I’m not saying that I have proof that these are made up, but it very likely (especially if the product is as new as I think it is).

I also found this kind of funny:

bottom-compare

Apparently they have figured out that it’s effective marketing to have one girl in a pink top and black bottoms holding weights and the other girl in grey/neutral colors holding a tape measure.  By the way, I’m almost positive that I’ve seen those exact same stock photos on other websites as well.

Ok, so they’re the same.  We’ve established that.  Enough with that, now on to the other important aspects.

The Company Behind Colon Pro Cleanse

Unlike Colon Cleanse Pro, Colon Pro Cleanse doesn’t offer any information about the company behind the product, but I think it’s pretty safe to say that it’s the same one that’s behind Colon Cleanse Pro.  That company is Life Fit Labs, LLC.

The Better Business Bureau didn’t have a report for Colon Pro Cleanse specifically (possibly due to it’s believed newness), so we’ll just go off Colon Cleanse Pro’s report:

It’s not very often that the BBB warns consumers with specific information about the company practices that are causing problems (see the red circle).  The following is taken directly from the BBB’s website (with my red and green circles added):

complaints

As was mentioned in the Colon Cleanse Pro review, the BBB has attempted to contact the company to help resolve some of the complaint issues.  The company has not responded to such attempts (see the green circle).

The Autoship Scam

The BBB picked up on the autoship scam, so it’s no secret.  Here’s fine print of their terms and conditions that they don’t want you to read (I’ve bolded and colored the important parts):

When you order the risk-free trial of Colon Pro Cleanse your credit card will be charged only $5.95 shipping and handling. You will have a full 14 day free trial period from your original order date to decide if Colon Pro Cleanse is right for you. If you are enjoying Colon Pro Cleanse, then do nothing, and at the end of your 14 day trial period you will be charged seventy-nine dollars and ninety five cents for the trial bottle you received. Please remember that most customers see significant /noticeable results after using Colon Pro Cleanse consistently for 3 months. If you find that Colon Pro Cleanse is not right for you, simply contact our Customer Service Department to cancel your membership within 15 days of your original order date, return the unused portion of the product to us (or the empty packaging if fully consumed), and you will not be charged any additional fees. Approximately 30 days from your original order date, and every 30 days thereafter, a monthly supply of Colon Pro Cleanse will be sent to you, and your credit card on file will be billed seventy-nine dollars ninety-five cents plus five dollars and ninety five cents shipping and handling (total eighty-five dollars and ninety cents).

There you have it.  If you get the trial and don’t cancel within 15 days, you can start expecting some hefty charges on your credit card each month.

Notice, also, that they type the amount of shipping out in actual numbers just fine and yet they write out the future charge amounts in words.  Hmmm…do you think they are trying to get you to NOT see them?  I think so.

The “Money Back Guarantee”

To make matters worse, their “Satisfaction Guarantee” is anything but satisfactory:

I understand that if I am not fully satisfied with future shipments of Colon Pro Cleanse, I may return any unopened containers of Colon Pro Cleanse within 30 days of receipt for a full refund less the five dollars and ninety five cents s/h charge and a 20% restocking fee. If you wish to return your product and receive credit for your return, please contact us. You will need to be assigned a Returned Merchandise Authorization number. Please note that the warehouse cannot accept a shipment which is not labeled with an RMA number.”

You can only return any unopened bottles.  So that free trial that you just ordered, tried, and didn’t like…you end up paying a non-refundable $79.95 for it.  Ouch.  Also, they require you to have an RMA number to get a refund.  Now, I don’t know if they’ve changed their telephone answering policies, but last time called them for the Colon Cleanse Pro review, no one answered.

And it gets even worse.  They also charge you a 20% restocking fee on all returned items.  Needless to say, the only ones satisfied with this kind of guarantee is the company who is ripping you off.

What is Actually in the Product?

I wish I could tell you.  Nowhere on their one pages website do they list even one ingredient.  While this isn’t too surprising, it’s a big red flag if you can’t even find out what it is that you’re putting in your body.

I would have to really trust a company to actually consume something that I didn’t have a clue what it actually was.  So does Colon Pro Cleanse win that trust from me?  Not in the least.  In fact, it’s quite to the contrary.

Colon Pro Cleanse Conclusion

The ingredient profile is a mystery.  Their guarantee only guarantees that they’ll have more money after they’re done with you.  The autoship scam is taking advantage of unsuspecting consumers.  They are too lazy to even design a new website.  The BBB gave them an F.  I think that all pretty much sums up my opinions on Colon Pro Cleanse.  They get an F in my book as well.

Very helpful tips. One thing I have learned from using colon cleansing is that you won't truly know its benefits until you try it for yourself.
