Today I’m going to dive into another colon cleansing product — Dual Action Cleanse.
As is customary, first we’ll try and find out what’s in Dual Action Cleanse. Then we’ll look specifically at the company behind Dual Action Cleanse, and see what’s being said about the product throughout the internet.
Dual Action Cleanse contains the following 572 mg blend (proprietary):
That’s quite a mouthful. The fact that the blend is only 572 mg makes me a little bit worried that there isn’t enough of each ingredient to actually make a difference. It’s funny, because Dual Action Cleanse actually boasts that they contain 33 herbs…but sometimes spreading yourself too thin means there isn’t too much left to actually do something. We’ll have to see if we can corroborate my hunch a little bit later.
There are several different kits:
There are quite a few options to choose from, and as you can see, they’re all priced at the high end of colon cleansers. Not bad, just something to be aware of. (As an aside, these all come with Green Tea, which actually has been shown to increase your metabolic rate so you burn more calories).
The domain dualactioncleanse.com is registered to:
Health Publishing LLC
5310 Beethoven St.
Los Angeles, CA 90066
The email address associated with it is sysop@irwinnaturals.com. That’s a new domain, so we’ll look into that in just a second. First, we’ll want to find more information about Health Publishing LLC.
I looked up Health Publishing LLC on the BBB site and didn’t get any results (that’s a good thing, actually). So I did a search for Dual Action Cleanse and was pleasantly surprised to see:

A B+ rating in the health industry is very solid. I know all of you think that it should be A+, but you also have a lot of very hard to please customers as well, so think on that for a moment
Here’s a breakdown of their complaint statistics:
| No. of Cmpl | Type of Response |
| 634 | Making a full refund, as the consumer requested |
| 20 | Making a partial refund |
| 131 | Agreeing to perform according to their contract |
| 9 | Refusing to make an adjustment |
| 30 | Refuse to adjust, relying on terms of agreement |
| 0 | Unanswered |
| 0 | Unassigned |
| 824 | Total |
Now, when you compare Dual Action Cleanse, with no unanswered complaints vs. a company like Total Cleanse where 80% of their complaints when unanswered, and they had four times as many and aren’t nearly as popular…anyway, you get the comparison. That’s the difference between a company with a B+ rating and one with an F rating.
So based on the BBB, we have a pretty solid company here (no pun intended of course). Take special note that Dual Action Cleanse is also accredited.
The irwinnaturals.com domain was intriguing to me, as that was the email domain to which dualactioncleanse.com is registered. So dug a bit.
The company basically sells other health-related products:
Doing a BBB report on Irwin Naturals showed a listing where they’re shown as an aka for Dual Action Cleanse, with two other addresses also listed:
The report obviously still links to the same B+ rating.
I have to admit that when I saw this header:
I was ready to throw stones. I figured the BBB Online Reliability Program banner was a hoax. That they weren’t actually accredited with the BBB. I was wrong. They are. Shame on me for being so judgmental off the bat (hey, can you blame me? I see that type of junk all the time).
I filled out my name, shipping/billing address, email address (unchecked the ’send me promotional emails’ box) and phone number. The next page looked almost alright. But did you notice their little Terms & Conditions link? We’ve got to make sure we read that!
This part was important:
At the time of purchase, you may have been offered an auto-ship and/or a one time plan of the Service. The Fee for the Service was stated to you at the time of purchase. The Fee is charged on the shipping date and if you chose an auto-ship plan the Fee will be automatically charged at the credit card you provide at the interval you agreed to at the time of purchase. You can cancel your auto-shipments at any time and have no further obligation. Cancellations must be made by telephone by calling 800-941-0163.
If you chose the Value Price, the one-time Fee for the Service will be automatically billed, to the credit card you provided, upon the shipment of your order.
I chose the $79.90 option, which didn’t explicitly state anything about an autoship program anywhere. I was a bit confused, so I went back to the main page and found what I was looking for:
You’ll get free shipping & handling if you sign up for their autoship program. Be very aware of this. If you don’t want autoship, then don’t choose the ‘better’ or ‘best’ options.
When you do a quick search for dual action cleanse on Google you’ll see their official site as the first ranking. Look at the second and third hits though, and you might get a bit wary…

What’s all the hubbub about?
The first hit is from infomercialwatch.org. Their main grief against Dual Action Cleanse is the fact that they don’t buy into colon cleansing. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, I don’t get into that debate. My reviews focus on the companies, their tactics, and consumer reports.
The secondary grief from infomercialwatch.org mentions that the LA BBB has received “more than 350 complaints” regarding Dual Action Cleanse’s business operations (unauthorized charges, failure to issue refunds, etc.). The fact that Dual Action Cleanse responded to every one of the complaints is a positive though this site wants to paint it as a negative.
What likely happened is that consumers didn’t read the fine print and then felt they’d been given a shoddy deal. People, when you’re dropping $70+ down for something — read what you’re getting into! I’ll readily admit that Dual Action Cleanse isn’t WAY out in the open, but they didn’t make it terribly hard for me to find it. (See the picture above).
The second site is from infomercialscams.com. What’s scary about infomercialscams is that you can’t separate the real reviews from the obvious fakes. The site brags about “uncensored infomercial complaints” but then capitalizes on the very traffic that the infomercials generate with their own extremely hype-ridden ad:
They go on to talk about how:
This report will tell you exactly how to identify and avoid scams, and in case you already have been scammed, how exactly to get a refund! This is the report the Infomercial industry doesn’t want you to read!
All they want is your email address. Why? So they can market to you. They don’t have a privacy policy anywhere to be found, which makes me assume that they’ll likely sell my email address to third parties.
At any rate, I’m off on a bit of a tangent, since this isn’t directly related to Dual Action Cleanse. My maint point from a site like this is two-fold:
It’s on the expensive side, and they’re not 100% forthright about their autoship program (they’re not hiding it either). Overall, I’m fairly impressed with the company and their product.
If it wasn't for taking what I eat seriously, I would still be dealing with many health issues. I am not new to colon cleansing, but I highly recommend it to everyone.
Good to know! I have bookmarked this page because I am pretty sure I will need to read this again to remind me! Learning about this has helped me make healthier choices.

The benefits of colon cleansing and a healthy body outweigh the obstacles involved. With a little effort, your body will thank you. Great website.
